Imagine a place where every one gathered has one common purpose. Where great care has been put into every detail to ensure an environment that is completely conducive to learning, growing and becoming the best you can be. Where those who sit next to you challenge and support you, where those that stand before you inspire and educate you. A place that not only will you hear and see the best instruction available, but you will have the opportunity to apply the information in a hands on practical manner. A place that produces professional, knowledgeable, disciplined, and character driven men and women who desire a career in public service can learn. A place you can be proud of. You’ve just imagined Buckeye State Police Academy.

Congratulations to the BSPA Runners ! The team has again won the Rouges Hollow 5K team event. Cadet Ryan Green – 19:38 , Cadet Brad Witacre 22:36 and graduate Officer James Bradley 22:46 far out paced the 2nd place team. It was great to see the team gel and perform well again to retain the Team Champion plaque. Chief Dressler also ran as part of the Doylestown City team, which placed third. Place that plaque back on the wall where it belongs. Nice job guys.

The Final call to arms of the BSPA fall class of 2009 was formed last night at their graduation ceremony. Many friends and family gathered at the legion hall in Doylestown last evening to celebrate the accomplishments of the class. Well earned awards were given for the top marksman, physical fitness, and most improved. The class video which gave those not in school an idea of what the cadets went through was a highlight of the evening. Chief Dressler gave a final address stressing to the cadets the need to follow through on the things that they had learned about themselves as each and everyone of them had grown during their class experience.
Congratulations and Good Luck ( not that you will need it ! ) on the upcoming written test,
You have all worked hard and earned all of your accomplishments you will do fantastic on the test !

Hey All,
Just wanted to stay how impressed I was with the PT session last night at the BSPA. Every cadet put forth a consistent and full effort to the max of their abilities. It was great to see the class encouraging each other to achieve their personal best. As an outside observer you could see that it was a tight group working together. It was encouraging to hear the comments which revealed the good character of each cadet during the “glad circle”. I personally was glad when that exercise was over because y’all were making me tired just watching. Keep up the good work. Fuel and maintain properly and keep putting the reps in… ALL of you will carry on the tradition of 100% physical pass rate for the BSPA !!
Chief Dressler addresses the group before putting them to the test.
Hit the deck…let’s get started
A few inchworms… doesn’t look that hard….
Be ready be quick… 1 – 4 – 10 !
Balance, strength, quickness
Taking the hill…again…..and…again….and …..again…and…
some planks were a bit more strait than others
Great Job cadets !!
